Thai-based Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) is acquiring a 51% stake in local bottled water producer called Brew Factory Company.
CPF Food & Beverage Company Limited (CPFFB), a subsidiary in which CPF indirectly holds 99.99% share, will invest a total of Bt 334.7 million (US$10.12 million) in Brew Factory.
Brew Factory produces and distributes bottled and mineral water in Thailand and it owns a warehouse, office and a factory with an annual production capacity of 295 million litres in Surin Province. With the acquisition, it will become a subsidiary of CPF.
The diversification into the bottled water business is complementary to CPF core business, and is projected to offer strong growth potential. Brew Factory generates most of its revenue via contract manufacturing alongside sales of its own water brand, Sabai.
For the first 5 months of 2026, Brew Factory earned Bt 210 million (US$6.29 million) in revenue.
CPF is more well known for producing processed and RTE products under its food business, rather than drinks. It also runs feed and farming business units. As of December 2025, 38% of its revenue came from its operations in Thailand. This was followed by operations in Vietnam and China. The group also has presence in the US and several European countries. In 2025, it reported revenue of Bt 571.1 billion (US$17.09 billion).
