Ajinomoto Thailand acquired 100% by parent company

Kasikorn Bank (KBANK) and the Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) have agreed to dispose their stakes in Ajinomoto Thailand to its parent company Ajinomoto, a major Japanese seasonings company.
Established in 1960, Ajinomoto Thailand manufactures and sells seasonings. Ajinomoto will pay both partners a total sum of Bt 7.17 billion (US$220.2 million) for their stakes.
Ajinomoto Thailand will continue to focus on food and health issues, and transform its business structure so that it can sustain growth.
