Chinese confectionery giant Amos Food is seeking an IPO listing in Hong Kong, as the firm looks to capitalise on the viral popularity of its sweets brands by ramping up investment in its overseas operations.
Shenzhen-based Amos, known for its Peelerz peelable gummies and TastySounds music lollipops, has seen its sales soar over the past few years, especially in North America, where its sweets have become a sensation on TikTok.
The firm’s listing application is currently under regulatory review. Hong Kong often plays a key fundraising role in mainland Chinese firms’ going-global drive.
Amos plans to use the proceeds to expand manufacturing capacity in China and overseas, deepen its distribution and marketing presence in North America and Europe, invest in research and product development, upgrade its digital systems and pursue potential acquisitions.
Beyond selling its own brands, Amos also operates an original design manufacturer business, developing and producing 3rd party branded confectionery for retailers and consumer companies. The model provides Amos with market feedback that it can use to track consumer preferences and refine its own products.
Amos posted sales revenue of Rmb 2.78 billion (US$414.8 million) in 2025, up 77% from a year earlier. Its net profit more than tripled from 2024. More than 77% of its revenue came from overseas as Amos has sales network in more than 80 countries. Amos is China’s largest confectionery producer by global retail sales with the US generating 52.7% of its overall revenue. Meanwhile its 3rd party branded products contributed 22.1% of its sales.
Amos is also building its first overseas factory in Vietnam, which will have an annual capacity of 13,300 tonnes and is expected to commence operation in late 2026. This new investment will support its ‘China plus one’ manufacturing strategy and strengthen the resilience of its global supply chain.
