Vietnam’s leading producer of instant noodle, Acecook Vietnam has adopted a new development strategy ‘Cook Happiness Through Innovation’ as part of its goal to create comprehensive happiness to all its stakeholders from consumers, business partners to employees, while ensuring continuous innovation in its business.
As it enters its 30th anniversary, Acecook announced this new vision with a goal of becoming a sustainable global food supplier while continue to expand its product portfolio and build a comprehensive culinary ecosystem to meet the diverse needs of modern consumers.
As part of its expansion strategy, Acecook will gradually diversify into new product lines such as convenient spices, RTE foods and snacks that can replace main meals. The company is constantly innovating to meet the healthy lifestyle and the trend of living green and healthy. Innovations such as adding calcium in Hao Hao, vitamin B12 in Phu Huong noodles, and using real meat and vegetables in pho and instant noodles show that it is seriously investing into public health.
Acecook has also implemented a new set of values with 6 core spirits namely innovation, excellence, cooperation, integrity, autonomy, and responsibility.
To spread ‘happiness’, it has also introduced many social programs for the needy and during national disasters. From 2021 to 2024, it allocated a budget of US$3.8 alone for CSR activities.
Sustainability is also part of its comprehensive happiness strategy as 54% of its factories use biomass fuel, with the goal of reaching 80% by 2030. In terms of packaging, 90% of Acecook cup noodles, bowls and trays are now using environmental-friendly paper materials.
Happiness can go hand in hand with expansion – Acecook aims to conquer the international market with 239 million packs already sold to more than 40 countries in 2024. This represents a 23% jump from a year ago, yet it aims to continue expanding in key markets like North America, Europe, and Asia through cooperation with large-scale distributors.
Localisation of products is also part of its ‘happiness’ strategy to suit local tastes. For example, it introduced Siukay brand which is a South Korean-version of spicy noodles to reach out to growing popularity of K-food in Asia.
