Wellspire Holdings Berhad (Wellspire), a distributor and online retailer of consumer-packaged foods in Thailand, has recently announced that it has, via its subsidiary, Bai Li Enterprise, successfully renewed its distribution contract for another year with QiaQia Food Co., Ltd (QiaQia), the producer of roasted seeds and nuts, and baked snack foods in China.
Wellspire has been engaged by QiaQia to exclusively distribute ChaCha sunflower seeds and nut products in Thailand since 2013.
According to Mo Guopiao, CEO and Executive Director of Wellspire, the demand for healthy snacks like sunflower seeds and nut products is expected to increase in Thailand as household income and consumer spending are recovering in the post-pandemic phase. Statista estimated the market for snack food in Thailand to reach US$1 billion in 2023 and growing at a CAGR of 8.32%.
The Wellspire Group is the exclusive distributor of ‘ChaCha’ brand of sunflower seeds & nuts for the Thailand market. It supplies its products to major supermarkets and convenience store brands in Thailand.
QiaQia is a China-based company that produces roasted seeds, nuts, and baked snack foods under the brands of ChaCha and ChaCheer. Its products are sold throughout China and exported to nearly 50 countries and regions including Southeast Asia, Europe and the US.
