Philippines fast food giant, Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) is stepping up its Asia expansion strategy with the acquisition of a South Korean hot pot buffet chain and the planned launch of a fast-growing Korean coffee brand in the Philippines.
The group’s subsidiary, Jolli-K Co, has signed a deal to acquire All Day Fresh Co, operator of Shabu All Day, for approximately US$87 million. Shabu All Day was established in 2014 and has grown to 169 stores across South Korea. In Korea, Jollibee also owns coffee chain Compose Coffee (70% stake), thereby diversifying JFC presence in the country’s food service space.
JFC plans to bring Compose Coffee to the Philippines through a master franchise agreement under its subsidiary Fresh N’ Famous Foods, with the first stores expected to open later this year.
Compose Coffee currently has 3000 stores and is one of South Korea’s most prominent value-driven coffee chains.
JFC highlighted its continuous push into the high-growth coffee and tea segments where it already operates brands like Highlands Coffee, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Milksha.
In 2025, JFC recorded its highest level of store openings with its total store network growing by 5.9% to 10,341 stores. This comprises of 3,504 stores in the Philippines and 6,837 internationally in countries like China (576), North America (348), Europe (437), Middle East, Asia and Australia.
