GNC is making a comeback to Singapore via partnership with pharmacy chain Guardian, through an exclusive distribution partnership with latter’s parent company, DFI Retail Group.
GNC’s products, comprising of nutraceuticals and food nutrition, will be available on Guardian’s online and offline stores, as well as on standalone GNC stores with effect from 4th quarter 2026.
DFI already distributes GNC’s products through standalone and Mannings stores across Hong Kong.
Under this expanded partnership, DFI will serve as GNC’s exclusive wholesaler, distributor and franchisee in Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore.
GNC first entered Singapore in 1997 but later its Singapore franchisee ONI Global unilaterally terminated the franchise agreement in 2022 and rebranded the 54 GNC stores to LAC stores. GNC later signed a 2-year deal with Watsons in October 2024 to occupy a store space within Watsons for its products. GNC decision to reestablish standalone stores comes amid new developments in its legal rights to assume former GNC store leases in full. On May 2026, the Singapore Court of Appeal upheld and enforced GNC’s rights to assume former GNC store leases in full. GNC added that it is now in the process of effecting the assignment of the relevant store leases.
