Heat and Control has unveiled its FastBack® 4.0 Horizontal Motion Conveyor to the Asia market following its regional debut at ProPak Asia 2026.
Designed for the gentle conveying of fragile food products, FastBack 4.0 combines gentle product handling, low maintenance, improved sanitation and efficiency in the latest generation of horizontal motion conveying technology.
Described as ‘beautifully simple’, FastBack 4.0 has been engineered to make ownership easier. Its low-maintenance design helps food processors in Asia to reduce maintenance time and labour while providing industry-leading sanitation in both dry and wet high-pressure washdown environments. This is especially important in currently challenging market amidst rising cost of labor.
Across many food processing applications, gentle product handling is just as important as production speed. Product breakage, seasoning loss and cleaning downtime can all affect efficiency and product quality.
FastBack 4.0’s patented circular-to-linear motion design gently handles product, helping protect the quality by preserving coatings and seasonings while also delivering industry’s highest travel rates and flow rate capacity.
The conveyor is suitable for a wide range of applications including potato chips, snack foods, coated peanuts, bakery products, cereals, prepared foods, french fries, meat and poultry, and many other products.

Beautifully Simple by Design
Developed over more than 10 years, FastBack 4.0 combines multiple international patents with a new circular-to-linear drive design, creating a conveyor that is easier to own, operate and maintain.
The redesigned drive system has 80% fewer moving parts than the previous FastBack model. Maintenance is simple, with only 2 wrench sizes required and there are no flexures, rubber bushings, or linear bearings and no periodic greasing is needed.
Where product flow needs to change, FastBack 4.0 can instantly reverse conveying direction at the flick of a switch without mechanical adjustment, giving processors greater flexibility during production.
FastBack 4.0 is ideal for both dry and wet, high-pressure washdown environments. Its smooth wipe-clean surfaces, low surface areas and fully sealed, easily accessible drives make sanitation faster and easier. This streamlined, robust design offers higher capacity, quieter operation and easier cleaning.
How It Operates
A key feature of FastBack 4.0 is its patented circular-to-linear drive mechanism, which uses rotational (circular) drive motion to produce horizontal (linear) motion. This patented drive design is what allows FastBack 4.0 to combine gentle product handling with high conveying performance.
“This innovative design converts rotational motion into pure horizontal motion while also supporting the vertical weight of the pan,” said Ong.
