The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has instructed Nestle Singapore to recall 2 batches of Milo snack bars due to the suspected presence of a foreign matter, rubber in these products.
This follows a voluntary recall by the products’ manufacturer in Australia.
Investigation on the affected snack bars, in the original and dipped versions, is ongoing. The affected products are:
- Nestle Milo Snack Bar (Original), Batch 5324TD15 (expiry date: 31 August 2026)
- Nestle Milo Snack Bar (Dipped), Batch 5322TD15 (expiry date: 31 August 2026)
Under the Sale of Food Act, foods known to be unsafe for consumption should not be sold.
Nestle was recently hit with contamination issues on its products. Earlier in January, Nestle was also ordered to recall its Gerber’s arrowroot biscuits, sold primarily in the US and Canada, due to contamination with small pieces of paper or soft plastic. It was also ordered to stop sales of 5 batches of its infant formula due to contamination with cereulide toxin.
