Traditional bakery debuts cake vending machine

Traditional bakery store, Uncle Lee Confectionery, known for its traditional cakes, has launched a vending machine to dispense its baked goods.

Located at Woodleigh Village Hawker Centre, the vending machine offers 4 cake flavors namely kaya, peanut, chocolate and rainbow chocolate. Each 6-inch cake is baked fresh daily and restocked at 11 am and 5 pm. The bakery, which has been in business for over 37 years, aims to make its cakes more accessible, bypassing the long queues often seen at its physical store near Haji Lane.

The cakes have proven to be so popular that they often sold out within an hour of restocking.
