Thai Beverage PCL (ThaiBev) is planning to delist Oishi Group from Thailand’s stock exchange after it acquired a majority stake (98.5%) in the business.
Oishi is involved in the production, sale and distribution of tea beverages and food products, as well as operate chain of Japanese restaurants in the country. Oishi Green Tea and Oishi Chakulsa flavoured teas are its core beverage offering. In 2022, Oishi reported revenue of Bt 12.8 billion (US$364 million).
ThaiBev acquisition of Oishi started since 2008 with a 43.8% stake and it marked its initial plan to diversify from its core business in the alcoholic drink segment.
ThaiBev’s revenue for year 2022 were Bt 272 billion (US$7.9 billion).
