A Thai manufacturer of zero-calorie sweetener made from stevia is currently considering an investment of US$30 million to build a processing facility in the Philippines, as part of its Southeast Asian expansion plan.
According to a statement by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), the company is looking into the establishment of a plantation as well as a processing facility. It is currently selecting a 1,000 hectare site for its investment plan.
No other information on the company is disclosed.
