What makes Kan Vela chocolate special is the long period of time taken to carefully select the cocoa beans and to prepare and dry them in the hot sun to produce a distinctively flavoured and beautifully crafted chocolate.
Kan Vela Founder/Owner Thana Kunaratwong said, “We developed this unique approach based on our experience, which we have also communicated to farmers. This defines our flavour.” Thana added that every chocolate product undergoes stringent inspection at its factory which utilises sophisticated manufacturing equipment from Italy.
Kan Vela unique flavor has led to it winning many awards globally including the Rising Star Award from the Academy of Chocolate, as well as 2 bronze medals at the 2020 International Chocolate Awards, and 2 silvers and 2 bronzes at the 2021 contest.
Chiangmai-based Kan Vela has expanded by opening several outlets in the northern provinces and it is also featured in the Thai Airways menu specifically for First Class and Business Class passengers flying to selected destinations.
