Japan-based T.Hasegawa has recently disclosed its Dong 725 billion (US$27.6 million) acquisition of Vietnamese food flavoring manufacturer, Hoang Anh Flavors and Food Ingredients (Hoang Anh).
Hoang Anh’s main products include sweet flavors for dairy and beverages, and savory flavors for instant noodles. The company has built a strong customer base in Vietnam that includes top food and beverage manufacturers including major Japanese companies.
T.Hasegawa decided to make Hoang Anh its subsidiary as it perfectly fits with the group’s own flavor business. It plans to expand its sales channels in Vietnam and penetrate the Southeast Asian market.
For the financial year ended December 2024, Hoang Anh recorded sales of Dong 218 billion (US$8.3 million).
