Suntory Pepsico Vietnam, a beverage joint venture between PepsiCo Inc and Suntory, has received the approval to inject an additional US$38.8 million into its plant in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho for the development of new tea and pure drinking water manufacturing lines.
The tea and drinking water manufacturing lines are set to come on stream in the 2nd and 4th quarter of 2024 respectively.
The Can Tho project, covering an area of 69,379 sq.metres was licensed in 2008 with an initial registered capital of US$15 million, but it now has accumulated total investment of US$70.8 million after 5 capital adjustments.
It produces non-alcohol beverages and mineral water with a designed capacity of 652 million liters annually.
