Subway to accelerate its expansion in China via franchising deal

Sandwich chain Subway has signed a franchising agreement to open nearly 4,000 restaurants in China over the next 20 years.

The sandwich chain said that its deal with Shanghai Fu-Rui-Shi Corporate Development constitutes its largest master franchise agreement in its history.

Presently, Subway has between 500 and 600 restaurants in China.
