Spritzer Bhd, the largest bottled water manufacturer in Malaysia, has reported strong 2nd quarter financial results with year-on-year revenue soaring 42% to RM106.2 million (US$22.33 million).
The strong revenue was attributed to high demand for bottled water as Malaysia entered endemic phase coupled with high selling prices.
Executive Director and Group CEO Kenny Lim Seng Lee said, “The first half of 2022 we faced many uncertainties like geopolitical tensions, rising global inflation, volatility in global commodity and energy prices, extreme weather conditions, interest rate hikes and forex volatility. Despite of this, we have been able to deliver 41% growth in net profit.” He added, “We are actively taking steps to automate our operations to enhance production processes and capacities to mitigate the impact of supply chain challenges, labour shortages, as well as higher material and operating costs.”
Spritzer has also been the first Malaysian brand to introduce sustainable packaging for natural mineral water in line with its corporate philosophy. It has recently launched its bottled water with a new corporate logo in a new iconic bottle made from recycled PET.
Spritzer is also placing greater emphasis on promoting the benefits of its silica rich mineral water as well as the absence of microplastics in Spritzer natural mineral water in laboratory tests conducted by SIRIM Berhad.
Spritzer, established since 1989, manufactures a comprehensive range of bottled water products that include natural mineral water, sparkling natural mineral water, distilled drinking water, carbonated fruit flavoured drink, non-carbonated fruit flavoured drink and functional drink.
