Paris Baguette, the bakery brand under the SPC Group, has officially launched its newest regional manufacturing hub in Johor, Malaysia.
The new facility marks a strategic move in Paris Baguette’s global expansion, ensuring a seamless, efficient supply chain that supports the brand’s growing presence across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. As demand for premium bakery products continues to rise globally, the Johor hub will play a pivotal role in boosting production capabilities, streamlining international distribution, and reinforcing SPC Group’s position as a major player in the global food industry.

This milestone is not only about business expansion, but also about building stronger connections, creating job opportunities, and celebrating the rich and diverse cultures of the communities we serve.”
The Paris Baguette Regional Manufacturing Hub in Johor is designed to support the brand’s rapid expansion across key international markets. The 12,900 sq.metre facility, built at a cost of US$56 million, is equipped with 7 advanced production lines with a combined production capacity of 100 million bakery products annually, thereby ensuring steady supply of bakery products to meet the regional demand.
One strategic advantage of the factory is its Halal certification. Malaysia’s globally recognised Halal certification is synonymous with excellence in food hygiene, sourcing, and production processes. By achieving this certification, Paris Baguette ensures that its products meet the highest levels of quality, safety, and cleanliness, further strengthening consumer trust across international markets.
Paris Baguette currently boasts of 4,000 stores globally, making it one of the leading bakery chain globally. In Southeast Asia, the bakery has presence in 6 countries namely Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and the Philippines, and it has franchise deals in Thailand, Brunei and Laos.
Meanwhile, Samlip, a subsidiary of the SPC Group, is also planning to produce halal-certified products at the new plant. The company is planning to establish an ASEAN subsidiary this March, using the Johor plant as a hub for distributing Korean-manufactured products across the region. Samlip will also supply frozen dough to cafes, hotels, and retailers while developing B2C products tailored to local markets.
Overall, the SPC Group is actively expanding its global business by establishing production hubs in key regions in Tianjin, China as well as in the upcoming US$160 million plant in Texas, US. The company aims to operate 12,000 stores worldwide by 2030, as it hopes to fulfill its vision of becoming a ‘Great Food Company’.
