South Korea’s Orion Group, under its Vietnamese affiliate Orion Food Vina, has broken ground on its third factory in Vietnam, marking a new phase in the company’s long-term investment and sustainability strategy in the country.
The Yen Phong 2C plant, located in Yen Phong 2C Industrial Park in the northern industrial province of Bac Ninh, will specialize in flexible packaging production. Covering 52,600 sq.meters, the facility will include a film production workshop and a modern logistics warehouse.
This will be Orion’s 3rd manufacturing site in Vietnam, following the My Phuoc plant (2005) in the southern province of Binh Duong, and the Yen Phong plant (2007) in Bac Ninh.
Construction is expected to take 14 months, with completion targeted for October 2026. The first phase includes a single-story film production workshop with two production lines and warehouse capacity for 10,000 pallets. The second phase will expand to 4 film lines and add 8 confectionery production lines.
Orion said the new factory reflects Vietnam’s importance as a strategic manufacturing hub for its Southeast Asian operations. Notably, it also marks Orion’s first investment in flexible packaging production in Vietnam.
