The Naisnow Tea & Bakery chain (Naisnow) in China is focusing on its health-driven strategy with the opening of more Naisnow Green light food stores and offering new sugar controlled drinks containing natural ingredients, in tandem with growing consumer demand for nutritious beverage options.
Naisnow unveiled its ‘2025 Health Upgrade’ initiative partnering with relevant government bodies, to introduce new formula of freshly made nutritious ingredients and controlled amounts of low-calorie sugar. The initiative introduces a range of light drinks and light food items, each containing at least 3 ‘green’ ingredients to ensure a minimum of three key nutrients per product.
Naisnow has already rolled out more than 30 ‘Naisnow Green’ light food stores in major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen this year. These outlets serve health-centric meals and drinks throughout the day, supporting the company’s aim to become a one-stop destination for daily nutrition.
According to a Mintel China survey, 73% of Chinese consumers prioritized ‘authentic ingredients’ when evaluating the health value of beverages. Meanwhile, 61% of respondents favored products with minimal ingredients, signaling rising opposition toward preservatives and additives.
