Canned sardines producer, Mega Prime Foods Inc. (Mega Prime) is adding coffee to its product portfolio with the acquisition of select assets of Goldshine Pharmaceuticals Inc., the company behind Jimm’s Coffee Mix products.
The acquisition includes the complete portfolio of Jimm’s Coffee Mix, a Filipino brand with a 30-year legacy, as well as its manufacturing unit, equipment and products in development.
This also marks Mega Prime’s foray into the powdered drinks category and is part of the company’s growth ambition for the next 5 years.
Regarded as a market leader in the functional coffee brand category, Jimm’s Coffee Mix is known for providing ingredients with added health benefits like ginseng, agaricus mushroom and Korean ginseng in its coffee products.

Mega Prime is the company behind Mega Sardines, Mega Mackerel, Mega Tuna, Mega Prime and Primo Sparkling Juice.
In March 2023, Mega Prime opened its 3rd manufacturing plant in the country and its 1st in Luzon.
