Swedish-based foodtech company, Lohilo Foods AB has recently entered into a 10-year production agreement with Chinese partner, Shanghai Zeen Information Technology Co. Ltd.
Lohilo Foods specialises in high protein ice cream as well as other functional food and drinks.
The long-term agreement offers its Chinese partner the licence to produce Lohilo ice cream in China with the intention of entering into a joint-venture in the future.
Lohilo seeks the advantage of faster distribution and lower production costs of its Lohilo ice cream by producing in China, and it has also adapted its products in terms of packaging, size, taste and price to suit the Chinese market.
“We are now taking an important step in our establishment in the China market as Lohilo aims to grow into a well-known brand in China by adapting to Chinese consumers’ needs and preferences,” said Richard Hertvig, CEO of Lohilo Foods.
