A relatively new player in Singapore’s grocery retail segment, Little Farms opened its first store in 2016, and now boasts of 7 stores.
Positioned as an upmarket premium grocery chain, it stocks high quality, organic groceries and targets affluent Singaporeans as well as expatriates. Its stores are mostly located in prime residential areas. In recent years, it has also attracted younger shoppers who are health-conscious and affluent, and willing to pamper themselves with premium grocery products.
Little Farms prides itself on fresh produce, fruit and meat sourced directly from farmers. However, these remain a challenge in the current environment of rising tariffs, climate change, supply disruptions, and frequent natural disasters.
Little Farms saw its revenue continuing to grow year by year, as it opens new stores in Singapore at a gradual phase. In 2023, Little Farms opened its 6th store in Holland Village and its revenue continued to grow at 17% in 2024. In 2025, it expects revenue to grow by 21% aided by its latest store in Sentosa which opened in December 2024.
The interesting feature of Little Farms is an accompanying restaurant named Table by Little Farms – creating a complete package – pulling people together for meal before or after shopping.
Little Farms aims to double its store numbers by 2030 in Singapore, while it also hopes to expand in neighbouring markets of Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
According to its Founder, US-born Joe Stevens, Little Farms plan to open its first overseas store by end-2025 although the location is not yet disclosed.
