Life Water Bhd, a bottled water manufacturer from Sabah, is in the midst of setting up an additional drinking water manufacturing line at its existing Sandakan Sibuga Plant 1.
This RM19 million (US$4.44 million) investment forms part of the company’s expansion strategy outlined in its IPO prospectus.
The new line is expected to be operational in the 2nd half 2025, and will boost its drinking water production capacity by an additional 178 million litres. It will also adopt Industry 4.0, equipped with state-of-the art equipments, and utilise energy-saving technologies.
The recent commencement of its Keningau Plant, together with this new line at Sandakan will boost Life Water’s accumulated annual production capacity to 626 million litres.
The new line will also support Life Water ‘light-weighting’ bottle efforts as it seeks to reduce plastic use and overall carbon emissions.
