South Korean chain SMTown Cafe has planned to open its 1st store in HCMC.
Besides coffee and snacks, the cafe will sell Kpop merchandise, with SMTown Cafe’s parent SM Entertainment Co., Ltd. being one of South Korea’ largest Kpop entertainment companies. This certainly bodes well for Vietnamese urbanites as they develop growing craze for Korean music and lifestyle.
Apart from offering desserts and coffee, SMTown Cafe offers a wide selection of exclusive merchandise of SM’ artists and groups, including posters, albums, apparel, and accessories.
Vietnam’s café market is currently dominated by several major domestic brands like Highlands Coffee, The Coffee House, Trung Nguyen Coffee and Aha Coffee with 64% market share in terms of number of total outlets, according to the latest report by research agency, Q&Me.
