Morinaga Milk Industry Co., Ltd has recently signed a feasibility study agreement with Indonesia’s PT ABC Kogen Dairy (AKD), a major manufacturer of dairy products in Indonesia, to study the feasibility of selling dairy products in Singapore.
The agreement was signed by Morinaga’s affiliate, Mori Young Dairy Corporation with AKD.
The partnership aims to introduce AKD’s dairy products, manufactured in Indonesia, under a dual branding system, featuring both Mori Young Dairy’s brand and AKD’s KIN brand, in Singapore from April 2025.
The partnership initiative also has a longer term view of expanding the business to Indonesia and other Asian countries in the future.
One of Morinaga Milk Group’s 10-year vision is to ‘become a global company with a unique presence in the world (overseas sales ratio of 15% or more by the fiscal year ending March 2029)’. According to a company statement, “By commencing this collaboration with AKD, we aim to strengthen our business in Asia and accelerate our efforts to further contribute to the construction of nutrition infrastructure.”
