Vinamilk, Vietnam’s largest dairy producer has successfully sealed contracts worth US$100 million during Gulfood Dubai 2023 event in late February.
Vinamilk is the only dairy producer from Vietnam to attend this event which attracted exhibitors from more than 125 countries with more than 5,000 booths.
As a world renown dairy producer, Vinamilk has already exported its milk products to more than 57 countries and achieved sales revenue of more than US$3 billion.
Meanwhile, major Malaysian agribusiness firm, FGV Holdings Bhd has successfully expanded its presence into the MENA region by launching its ADELA brand of margarine during the event.
ADELA margarine is a multi-purpose margarine made from the finest palm oils and enriched with 9 vitamins including Omega 3, 6, and 9, and contains zero cholesterol. It has a superior taste and is versatile in its usage, making it an ideal choice for baking cakes, pastries, and biscuits, as well as a perfect bread spread. Margarine, butter and dairy-related products are extremely popular in the MENA region. Future Market Insights reported that the global margarine market reached a value of US$33 billion in 2022 with a CAGR of 4.9%.
Apart from margarine, FGV also showcases its other product lines like cooking oils, coconut milk and creamer amongst others.
MENA is one of the strongest regions for FGV. The 650 million strong market offers a large and rapidly growing middle-income population, with a strong economy supported by high energy prices in recent years. Its urban population has grown from 48% in the 1980s to 60% in the early 2000s, making it one of the most attractive consumer market for FMCG producers.
