The year 2020 onward has been a rather lucrative year for Pet Food and Pet Care companies in China. The onset of the pandemic in early 2020 has led to growing trend for pet ownership as many urbanites work from home, which indirectly gave them more time to take care of pets.
Due to rising demand for pet food and care products, companies in this industry have expanded at a breathtaking pace with many looking to the stock market to grow their business.
The Rmb 494 billion (US$73 billion) pet care and pet food industry in China has already seen at least 4 companies getting listed within a span of just 30 days recently. They include Wenzhou Yuanfei Pet Toy Products and Gambol Pet Group among others.
Meanwhile, larger companies like Yantai China Pet Foods and Petpal Pet Nutrition Technology had already gone public in 2017. Shandong Luscious Pet Food Inc went public in Beijing in March this year.
It was not long ago when pet food companies are not as lucrative and mostly operated by small and medium sized enterprises.
