Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd posted a 23.5% rise in net profit to RM21.23 million (US$5.12 million) for the 2nd quarter ended June 2020 compared to a year ago.
Despite the challenging pandemic period, Dutch Lady attributed the growth in sales to higher demand and lower operating cost as the manufacturer operates at full capacity.
It remains optimistic on its long term growth outlook due to the existing strength of its brands and strong consumer recognition of the nutritional value of milk, its main product in its portfolio.
