Swiss-based DKSH Holding AG has agreed to acquire Singaporean food service distributor Zircon-Swis, expanding its food service segment through the transaction. The deal, with undisclosed financial details, is expected to close in the 2nd quarter of 2025.
Zircon-Swis specialises in supplying food ingredients and products to businesses in the hospitality and catering industries. The firm generates net sales of around US$9.73 million annually.
Following the acquisition, Zircon-Swis will be fully integrated into DKSH, and the existing management will join the Swiss company as part of its consumer goods business unit.
The deal is in line with the business unit’s strategy to expand in secondary growth areas like the food service segment.
Chris Ritchie, Head of DKSH’s consumer goods business unit said, “This acquisition represents an important step in growing DKSH’s presence in Singapore’s dynamic food service market.” He added that the deal represents an ‘excellent fit’.
