Leading Taiwanese tapioca tea brand, CoCo Bubble Tea is announcing new store openings in Malaysia and Cambodia this year.
In May, CoCo will open its 1st store in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as part of its multiple store openings in 2025. Its beverages are already certified Halal.
CoCo also opened its 1st store in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 13 April, as part of its expansion plan in Southeast Asia.
According to Kody Wong, Deputy General Manager of Business Development at CoCo Bubble Tea, “Our franchise network from the dynamic Southeast Asia region does an excellent job innovating and harnessing the flourishing bubble tea market here. We are immensely grateful to have such strong franchise partners. With these latest openings, we are doubling down on our efforts to engage diverse consumers across a region that is growing rapidly.”
Bubble tea is now evolving to suit the dynamic tastes of a broader range of Southeast Asian consumers. CoCo’s focus on using local flavors and offering customizable beverage options is helping its drinks resonate more with the growing middle-class consumers.
CoCo has built its presence in Southeast Asia since 2012. It has over 120 stores in the Philippines with the country being the most profitable in terms of individual store sales. Globally, CoCo has 500 stores.
