Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia (CCAI) has recently formed a joint-venture agreement with Dynapack Asia to construct the most sophisticated state-of-the-art bottle-to-bottle grade PET recycling plant in Indonesia.
The partners aims to explore the planned facility’s economic feasibility, scale, location and size; end-to-end requirements; and possible incorporation into each firm’s value chains.
A joint project (JV) team has been formed to leverage each firm’s manufacturing and recycling process capability.
By 2022, the recycled plastic supply could decrease the demand for new plastic resin that Coca-Cola utilised by around 25,000 tonnes per year.
This move will support the National Action Plan of Indonesia in decreasing the country’s plastic pollution at sea by 70% by 2025.

In 2019, CCAI inaugurated the second US$24 million affordable single serve package production (ASSP) line at the Pasuruan factory in East Java. The new line will support the manufacturer to supply high-quality lightweight plastic with a glass coating that will increase packaging durability by 260 million bottles annually throughout East Java and Eastern Indonesia, including Bali and the Eastern Islands, Sulawesi, East Kalimantan and South Kalimantan.
In 2019, CCAI had formed 5-years cooperation with restaurant operator, PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk to supply Coca-Cola, Fanta, and Sprite soft drink products at more than 700 KFC outlets across the archipelago.
At present, CCAI serves more than 500,000 customers, in modern and traditional markets throughout Indonesia. The company also operates 8 manufacturing facilities, 2 preform factories and 4 Mega Distribution Centers. Since 2014, CCAI has invested more than US$379 million in Indonesia.
