US-based agro-food giant, Cargill has recently unveiled plan to invest nearly US$30 million to build a flavor-syrup production base in the city of Pinghu, Zhejiang Province with completion expected as early as spring 2023.
Liu Jun, President of Cargill China said that Cargill is establishing the facility as it has full confidence in the Chinese market. He said, “China will be one of the most attractive food ingredient markets in the world in the future.”
The new production base will include a flavor-syrup production line and a catering research and development center. The facility will mainly produce customised small-package flavor-syrup products.
