Leading chocolate and cocoa producer, Barry Callebaut (Callebaut) has recently launched its new Callebaut ruby RB2 worldwide, along with the Callebaut NXT Dark and NXT M_Ik chocolates.
According to Robert Kotuszewski, Managing Director for Callebaut Malaysia, its customers are mainly the Generation Z and the millennials whom are now more concerned about their health, as such Callebaut is also responding by being more mindful of their needs of a fully sustainable product yet healthy, natural and indulgent in taste.
Ruby is the 4th chocolate after dark, milk and white and since its launch in 2017, it has gained much popularity due to its distinctive fruity and sour flavor. Callebaut’s latest RB2 takes the flavor to new highs as consumers nowadays are seeking for a more intense taste experiences.
Callebaut’s NXT Dark and M_lk are catering to a growing consumer segment that want to indulge in the taste of chocolate but want 100% dairy-free plant-based alternative with no artificial flavors or additives. NEXT M_lk gets its creamy mouthfeel from tiger nut, a plant-based milk alternative with a natural sweet taste. All NXT products are manufactured in a dedicated plant with no physical contact with dairy ingredients.
Both RB2 and NXT range of chocolates will serve the B2C and the HoReCa segment well meeting the needs of both chefs and end-consumers.
