Brahim’s Dewina Group of Companies (Brahim’s) has unveiled plan to expand its in-flight catering kitchen at Penang International Airport (PIA) this year to meet rising demand from Visit Malaysia 2026.
Its Executive Chairman, Datuk Seri Ibrahim Ahmad, said he expects more airlines, particularly from China, to operate flights to Penang, which could contribute to higher tourist arrivals to the state. This will indirectly lead to higher demand for airline-catered food. Currently, Brahim’s serves 18 airline carriers at PIA and all its food are halal-certified.
At Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the group’s subsidiary, Brahim’s Food Services Sdn Bhd, serves 31 airlines including top carriers like Qatar Airways, Emirates, Japan Airlines and Turkish Airlines amongst others.
Brahim’s core business is still its catering services which cover airlines, military contracts, and university catering, and it also hopes to extend its catering contract with the government. Its other smaller division is its RTE halal food products sold in major supermarkets in Malaysia.
