US coffee chain Blue Bottle Coffee will open its first outlet at Raffles City in Singapore, marking its Southeast Asian debut.
The store opening, located within LUMINE Singapore’s flagship store, reflects “the rich influence of Japanese culture” on the brand. The company intends to expand its offerings in the city-state, including its seasonally curated espresso menu and the brand’s coffee produced with single-origin beans.
Blue Bottle Coffee was established in Oakland, California, in 2002 with the idea of offering good coffee, roasted fresh and brewed to order, sourced from the finest coffee farms.
Blue Bottle Coffee currently has presence in the US, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and China.
The decision to launch in Singapore is strategic, considering the city’s vibrant café culture and its role as a gateway to the Southeast Asian specialty coffee scene.
