In February, Malaysia-based Power Root Bhd, known for its premix coffee products and energy drinks, has launched a beauty drink under the brand Per’l Yuzu, which it claims to combine elements of nutrition from Korea with a Malay traditional herb that has been trusted for generations.
The brand Per’l comprises of a range of beverages made with local herb ‘kacip fatimah’. With Per’l Yuzu, drinkers get the goodness of Yuzu fruit with kacip fatimah and collagen.
Power Root Berhad Co-Chairman Tengku Indera Pahlawan Diraja said, “Most Malaysians know about kacip fatimah and collagen in maintaining beauty and health for women, but many still do not know about the secret benefits of Yuzu fruit. If kacip fatimah is the queen of traditional herbs in Malaysia, Yuzu can be considered the king of fruits in Korea.”
Yuzu fruit has 3 times as much vitamin C as a lemon and 10 times more calcium than an apple. Even though Yuzu is also cultivated in China and Japan, Yuzu fruits with the highest quality come from Korea.
Per’l Yuzu, available now in 250ml can packaging, is a result of extensive R&D work and it targets both men and women. Power Root has engaged Korean celebrity, Jang Han Byul as the brand ambassador.
