ANKO, Taiwan’s leading food machinery supplier, has recently unveiled its new ANKO Integrated Production Line which uses 9 standardized workstations to automate the production process by including filling and dough feeding, forming, aligning, freezing, packaging, and quality control stations to make consumer-ready food products. The new modular design, integrated line was launched during Food Taipei 2024 exhibition featuring a 3D model simulating a food factory.
ANKO Food Machine has also debuted the Xiao Long Bao Production Line, which integrates 6 major components which include forming machine, robotic arms, packaging machine, weighing machine, X-Ray inspection machine, and waste disposal equipment, achieving full automation without requiring additional labor.
According to an ANKO spokesperson, “Food factories and restaurants are businesses that have been affected the most by a global workforce deficit. Research by Korn Ferry International highlighted that the world will face a labor shortage of at least 85 million workers by 2030, equivalent to the total population of Germany, resulting in a loss of US$8.5 trillion in revenue globally per year. In response, the food manufacturing industry is accelerating its automation transformation with 3 primary directives: Automation, Flexibility, and Sustainability.”
Industry Breakthrough – One Forming Mold that makes 12 different Sea Animal Shaped Dumplings
Driven by the new generation’s affinity for social media, highlighting eye-catching, delicious, and nutritious food items, ANKO introduces the HLT-700U Multipurpose Filling and Forming Machine with the custom-made Marine Life Forming Mold for the production of 12 distinctive sea animal-shaped dumplings with a single mold. The machine has a production capacity of 12,000 pieces per hour, with wrappers as thin as 1.2mm, ensuring artisanal quality in both appearance and taste.
During the exhibition, ANKO has conducted 8 on-site machine demonstrations including the Xiao Long Bao Production Line, IoT applications, and other innovative food machines to make dumplings, buns, wontons and shumais.
With the current manpower crunch in the food services segment, even labor-intensive ethnic delicacy manufacturers are looking for labour replacement using quality machinery to ensure their product quality will not be compromised.
