Vietnam’s dairy-processing company, NutiFood Vietnam has officially entered the domestic instant coffee market in August with the launch of Nuticafe iced coffee.
The company earlier announced its entry into the domestic coffee market in mid-2017 when it invested in Phuoc An Coffee One Member Limited Company, which owns a 1,000 hectare coffee plantation.
NutiFood Chairman Tran Thanh Hai disclosed that Nuticafe will be manufactured at a Binh Duong-based plant, which specialises in manufacturing the company’s dairy products.
The domestic instant coffee market is extremely competitive with both domestic and foreign players. Due to this, Hai said NutiFood chose a separate access point to the market, starting with investment in high-quality materials and then applying technology and research and development solutions to create the new instant coffee product.
Hai expects Nuticafe which is produced with coffee-freezing technology Ice Flash, to meet customers’ growing demands for clean and safe coffee products.
Despite being a newcomer, NutiFood has an advantage as it already has a wide distribution channel ranging from supermarket chains to convenience stores. NutiFood also hopes to export its coffee products in the near future.
